Our school is a co-educational English-medium school, incepted in 1999, with a rich history of quality initiatives in Education.
Veer Bhagat Singh International School will provide for students a dynamic learning environment that is reflective, sensitive and empowering, and is committed to developing excellence in academics and behaviour.
To develop individuals who are sensitive and resilient, able to navigate life with compassion, objectivity, and equanimity; and who will always seek to generate solutions to create a healthy and harmonious society.
The school staff will consistently:
and work towards continual improvement, in compliance with the policies of the Management and the educational authorities.
As of 2017, Veer Bhagat Singh International School has implemented the Child Protection Policy in keeping with the United Nations Convention for Child Rights, the Commission of Child Rights Act 2005, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012, other related legislations as well as the BCG school Mission and Vision. The policy ensures a safe learning environment which is free from any threat or fear. Each year the school offers a session on “Together for Child Safety” for new parents. This year the school organized a session for the community “Keeping Children Safe”.
After instituting the Child Protection Policy in 2015, our Student Council members have postulated the ‘Student PEACE Code’. PEACE = POSITIVE ENGAGEMENT AND COLLABORATIVE ENVIRONMENT. This document is essentially an effort to create a positive school environment for all students in school. School is like a second home for children, and it is important that each and every child should feel positive about coming to school and love his/her school. To make this happen, it would be essential for every child to develop an attitude of helping and supporting his/her schoolmates. While we teach our children to protect themselves, we also have to teach them that no one should need protection from them. If every child learned the value of compassion, inclusion, independent thought and community living, the Student Peace Code would be a certain success. For this, both parents and teachers have to join hands and model these values for the children.
Safety in schools is a matter of great importance and all adults and students in the school need
to
contribute to keeping safety standards high. For this reason, the following material has been
identified
as being prohibited from being brought into school premises.
No student may bring into school the following items:
If any of these are found in possession of students, they will have to produce a permit from a responsible authority. Repeated transgressions may call for strict action from the school.
A mentor is someone who becomes an inspiration, a role model – someone whose life we can learn from. Bhagat Singh is the mentor of our school. We, at Veer Bhagat Singh International School take inspiration from these words and feel that we must strive to overcome all obstacles that stand in the path of achieving our goals.
The Bombay Cambridge Gurukul logo symbolizes the five basic elements – Earth, Water, Fire, Air & Ether. They are the basic substance of all Matter, the Energy that breathes meaning into the Form it assumes.
Education is the realization of this Form (the self), it’s potential to interact with the Environment (space), and to learn and grow into higher realms of Thought.
The phrase ‘Be Natural Through Social For Spiritual’ reflects this.
We are the leaders that inspire
We are the spirit of the people
We are the force that’s driven
To achieve the impossible
Chorus:
We dream and we know
We care and we show
We are the teachers and we are the learners
Forever thus we grow (2)
End Chorus
We are the wave
We are the ocean
We are the heirs
To the legacy of reason
We are the force that’s driven
To achieve the impossible
Repeat Chorus
We are the light
We are the laughter
We are the caretakers
Of time hereafter
We can change the lives
Of all like you and me
We can turn the tide
And create the land and sea
Repeat Chorus
We are the leaders that inspire
We are the spirit of the people
We are the force that’s driven
To achieve the impossible
We dream and we know
We care and we show
We are the teachers and we are the learners
Forever thus we grow (2)
Sensitivity is the unfolding of human potential, as awareness of self and its relationship with the environment are realized. The consciousness of giving and receiving as a natural act of responsibility is the essence of sensitivity.
Courage is defined as strength or bravery in the face of fear or pain. To be fair, to be true and to have faith in the unseen indicates a strength of character, and the courageous build character through being honest, defending what is good and right, and by caring enough to act
Reason is the base of all human thinking and action. Reason is the quality of integrating perceptions and intellect into meaningful and objective knowledge. Reason is the ability to go beyond one’s human-ness to understand the world around us as it is.
Integrity is the quality of being whole or unified. The self of a person is made up of his / her experience, emotions, intellect and interpretations. The integration of all these to result in a learning that moves from the natural to the social to the spiritual is integrity.

Chief Guest –Momentum - Annual Sports Day – 22nd January, 2020
I’ve been a student of Veer Bhagat Singh International School since Kindergarten and have completed a long, enriching journey of 12 years with the school. I consider myself fortunate to have interacted with all the teachers since Kindergarten all the way up to grade 10, who contributed immensely in shaping me as I am today. They were instrumental in making me realise my strengths as well as in helping me deal with my challenges. Without their support I would never have understood my major skillsets upon which I stand today and this is what propels me today towards a better future.
It is imperative that I also state the emotional support that the teachers have rendered me time and again throughout my bumpy expedition in school. Furthermore, I would like to mention the influence of the school counsellors and the admin staff who have been supportive throughout and helped me resolve my concerns. My heartfelt thanks to the Principal, the School Heads and the Coordinators who have always given me the freedom to express myself to the fullest without any restrictions or constraints, giving me a family, which will remain with me forever.

It’s been an incredible morning! I feel refreshed having watched and enjoyed the incredible talent of your very gifted and beautiful children. Thank you dearest Monica ma’am for inviting me to this wonderful Annual Day. I am truly going away feeling inspired and my heart is filled with joy knowing that, with teachers and management of VBSIS, our children are in safe and reliable hands. Thank you once again.
Ms. Suzanne D’mello - Singer
Chief Guest – Crescendo – Primary Annual Cultural Day – 4th December, 2019
Swami Vivekananda stated that There is only one purpose in the whole of life — education. Otherwise what is the use of men and women, land and wealth? VBSV has shaped me in more ways than one. It helped me identify my strengths and fortify my weaknesses. I want to express my gratitude to my school and everyone associated with it.
I want to first and foremost thank all my gurus in this Gurukul of ours. They have imparted me with a gift that will never leave me i.e., knowledge. It's a debt that can never be repaid. There have been moments throughout the past year wherein all the teachers have helped me whenever I needed their support. They have cleared doubts or gaps in my understanding. They have continuously encouraged me. Their motivation has helped me believe that I can follow the path of continuous improvement and achieve challenging goals.
I want to also thank the school management especially our principal Monica Ma'am, for being a constant source of inspiration. Our Heads, Coordinators, etc. have always supported me and encouraged me.
In the end I would like to urge all students of Veer Bhagat Singh Vidyalaya to make the most of all the activities and opportunities that are offered by the school as this is what is going to help you gain confidence and grow in all spheres.
Thank you!

I take this opportunity to thank and appreciate the school authorities and teachers who are doing a great job during this pandemic.
As parents we had some concerns about online schooling, but these have been addressed by the dynamic educators who run this wonderful school. The school has a collaborative approach to help each child succeed. The energetic and caring professionals are responsive to every possible need of the child.
My son is learning, developing, and improving in his academics thanks to Veer Bhagat Singh International School and its dedicated staff.
Veer Bhagat Singh International School, is a school where learning is fun, interesting, and exciting. A school where feedback sessions with teachers are not about how the child is doing in his studies, but about who the child is, it’s about the social and emotional development of the child. A school that is truly child-centric in every sense of the word: A school where our children can grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually – as fully functioning human beings. This school is like a Legacy for us.
I would like to convey my heartfelt thanks to the entire Veer Bhagat Singh International School Team for planning and organizing the online classes so well.
A happy school of happy children!
Thank you and regards,
Mrs. Applina V. Chadha
Parent of Darsh Chadha - Grade 4A
Before the online classes began, I had doubts about whether a 4 year old will be able to learn online. There were many questions in my mind. To my surprise Ansharah was very comfortable with online classes and she got used to it in no time. I believe this was possible only because of the efforts and pains the teachers put in.
The atmosphere of online class is so conducive for studies that Ansharah enjoys each and every session.
During this pandemic, children were confused and restless as they were always inside the house and couldn’t go out. The teacher was always available and ready to tackle any kind of issue which parents or the child was facing.
Online classes have become a place where kids are able to interact with each other. Even though it is online learning, we can clearly see the progress Ansharah is making and for this we are really thankful to Miss Ekta for all the efforts and hard work she has put in. As we are present during the session, we can see the way students are taught and the fun-filled environment of the class. I am very satisfied by this. The reason I wanted Ansharah to be in IGCSC board is met and I am rest assured that she is under the guidance of amazing teachers and an excellent institution.
With Best Regards,

I would like to appreciate the present online classes and I feel they are the best mode of education in the present times. Saumya loves to attend classes and participates and interacts with the teachers and friends, as well. In these troubled times, online schooling sessions invite new enthusiasm and energy in the kids.
I congratulate the teachers and staff of Veer Bhagat Singh Vidyalaya for planning and executing these classes so well.
Best Regards,
Mrs. Mugdha Karvir

The school has a very friendly environment. I joined this school in seventh standard and the first day I entered the school, I did not even feel like it was my first day. The students and teachers all made me very comfortable.
In Veer Bhagat Singh Vidyalaya there is a balance between studies and extra-curricular activities, so that we don't go through much stress related to academics. The teachers have always motivated me to aspire for higher goals and always pushed me to test my limits. There are many competitions organised and the students in the school are also very competitive, this urged me to always give my 100%.
The time spent in this school has helped me in my holistic development and enhanced my communication skills. Also, I've have made a lot of friends along this wonderful journey in the school.
Overall my experience in this school has been fabulous and I am proud to be a VBSite.

Our school is now certified for the International Organization of Standards (ISO) for meeting

The ISO 9001 standard helps organizations to:
ISO 9001 is based on the plan-do-check-act methodology and provides a process-oriented approach to documenting and reviewing the structure, responsibilities, and procedures required to achieve effective quality management in an organization. ISA was introduced in India in the year 2003 and nearly 2500 schools across the country have joined this exciting journey since then. The range of schools participating in the International School Award varies from the well-resourced private schools to government schools from rural areas and schools for the less advantaged communities. We are proud to mention that our school has reached the greater heights by winning the International School Award in past.
Dear Parents,
The pandemic has created a global crisis, and the impact on Education has been felt by all. While you have been struggling to face
the challenges of the lockdown at home, we have been working to develop virtual classrooms that students can access from home.
We hope you have been receiving our emails and information sheets, as well are able to access our helpline.
Research on online learning for school going children has found a positive impact of online tools on student learning and
achievement. In addition, it has built the skills of self-study, collaborating, critical thinking (eliminating peer pressure) and
resourcefulness in students. By reducing the need for travel, it contributes positively to time-saving and the environment. The
advantage of face-to-face learning is of course in relation to building social-emotional skills. Though we are continuing our Social
Emotional Learning Curriculum (SELC), it is also recommended that parents engage students at home in discussions, exploring
the values of options and choices, sensitivity to people around them, and guide them to stay safe online.
Online learning for younger students is a matter of much study, and our plan takes into consideration the age, natural
developmental instincts and the possibilities of interacting though the screen for very young children. We request parents to work
with us by gently guiding the child, staying flexible when needed, and maintaining a positive environment at all times. Our teachers
have planned an exciting online experience for our students and we are sure the children will enjoy the sessions.
The school has organized intensive training for teachers at all levels, and the Heads and teachers have been taking online courses
through this vacation. The Management has organized resources and tools for online learning that has enabled the school to
provide a seamless educational experience to all its students. Do communicate with us via email for all your concerns and queries
and provide your full support to the teacher during classroom sessions, just as you have supported the school wholeheartedly
during this time. We are delighted to have the students back with us, and all of us are looking forward to seeing them again.
Take care and stay safe!
With warm regards,
Ms. Monica Bhatia

Our Mascot, Lucero, is a combination of a Phoenix and an Eagle.
The phoenix, with its great beauty, is a mythical bird that never dies. According to Egyptian legends and Greek mythology, the Phoenix is a large bird with beautiful scarlet and gold plumage and is said to live for 500 years or longer. As the end of its life approaches, the Phoenix causes itself as well as its nest to be engulfed in the flames of sacred fire – and all is reduced to ashes. Then, arising from the ashes appears the new Phoenix Bird, who will again live to the age of at least 500 years once again completing the cycle of death and rebirth, which symbolizes the eternal nature of the soul. The Phoenix is the symbol of transformation and everlasting life. The bird's act of rising from its own ashes stands for the regeneration of life from nothingness. It represents our capacity for vision, creates intense excitement and inspiration.
The Eagle is the chief over all the winged creatures. Eagle conveys the powers and messages of the spirit; it is man's connection to the divine because it flies higher than any other bird. The eagle brings the message of renewed life. It shows stamina and resilience to endure difficulties. It bestows freedom and courage to look ahead. It is symbolic of honesty and truth.
Lucero means 'light' in Spanish. Lucero, our mascot, is idealistic, highly imaginative, intuitive and spiritual. It inspires us to set a goal and develop our skills. It urges us to have courage to face our challenges and persevere to reach higher echelons. Lucero is a representation of VBSites’ desire to soar into unknown realms, continually expanding their horizons.
